Ford Thefts

If you own a Ford Puma, Ford Kuga or Ford Focus and live in the Fitton Hill area, please take extra precautions to protect your vehicle.

Over the last few evenings, four Ford Kugas have been stolen from neighbouring force areas.

Despite increased police patrols and ongoing efforts, offenders are continuing to target these vehicles.

Help reduce your risk by taking some simple steps:

- Store keys well away from doors and windows

- Use a Faraday pouch to prevent relay thefts

- Consider using an AirTag or vehicle tracker to help locate your vehicle if stolen

- Ensure any CCTV, doorbell cameras or security systems are working and fully charged

- Park in a garage or well-lit area where possible

- Use additional security devices such as steering wheel locks

- Please remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately.
